Do you know about Kyoto's famous "Takumi"? This new series beautifully depicts the philosophy and craftsmanship of Takumi, or artisans, based in Kyoto--Japan's historic capital--who have preserved traditional techniques through generations of exceptional monozukuri craftsmanship.

The title calligraphy for the series was actually written by a master calligrapher from Kyoto. Calligraphic characters is one of Japan's traditional arts and has long been practiced as a discipline in Zen Buddhism as well as an essential part of the education for nobles and samurai.
